What Happens in Vegas... Goes on the Blog?

Hello friends!

I know I’ve been MIA for the past few months, but I didn’t really do any exciting traveling… Until now! A few days ago, I returned from a month-long business trip to Nevada, California, Hawaii, and Arizona and I have a ton of content to share with you all! Shall we begin?


My first stop was Las Vegas, Nevada… To preface, I’ve been to Las Vegas five times in my 25 years of life (three trips over age 21), so I really didn't do much of anything this time around. I’ve actually been to “Sin City” three times (Yes, you read that correctly-- THREE) in the past 9 months. I know that sounds insane… Here's why!

The first trip of  2018 was in August with my niece, Sameera, and nephew, Jalen, for his 21st birthday and Labor Day weekend. We had so much fun and literally only slept for like 8 hours in three days. Nuts.

On Saturday night, we saw Gucci Mane perform at Tao Nightclub at The Venetian.

On Sunday night, we saw Nas perform at Marquee Nighclub at The Cosmopolitan hotel.

The second trip was in November for Halloween and my best friend, Eboni’s 25th birthday with our friend, Shereina.

And most recently, the third trip was at the beginning of April 2019 for work. This one wasn't quite as exciting because I was all by myself and didn't really have any free time to do anything. But, I made the most out of it and walked on the strip for a few hours and took a couple pictures!

In all honesty, my trips to Las Vegas haven’t been anything out of the ordinary… Ya know, walk up and down the strip, walk through the hotels, drink outrageous alcoholic beverages, go to pool parties, nightclubs... You get the drift. Everything you would expect Las Vegas to be. 

So, as you can see, I don’t really have any cool tips or tricks... But, I hope you enjoyed the photos! I have so much more exciting content coming up in the near future!

How did I end up at American Idol auditions?

If you know me, you know that I can’t sing to save my life. I’m literally the most tone-deaf person of all time. Never in my life did I imagine that I, the worst singer in the world, would end up at American Idol auditions.  Fortunately for the judges, I wasn’t the one auditioning. But, cheerleading: Now that’s my thing. I can be a hype man any day. A few weeks ago, my adopted brother, Bishop won a karaoke competition in Tampa and the prize was a fast pass for American Idol auditions in Orlando.       So, last Thursday we took a short one-hour drive to Disney Springs in Orlando. We arrived around 9:30 a.m. and made our way to the check-in line. Thank God for that fast pass because the line for the general public was about 2,000-people-long. Euro Trip Part 1: Madrid

Day 1: Wednesday April 5, 2017 My journey to Europe began on an early Wednesday morning. My friend dropped me off at Tampa International Airport around 9:15 am. I took three flights, had two layovers, and traveled for a grand total of about 18 hours. By 8:00 pm EST, it was time to board my six-hour flight to Madrid. The on-flight meals weren’t terrible. First I had Indian-style curry chicken with rice and a glass of chardonnay and for breakfast I had a croissant and yogurt. I slept a majority of the way and boy oh boy was it freezing. I had five layers on and I was STILL cold. Day 2: Thursday April 6, 2017 I landed in Madrid on Thursday morning around 10 am and went through customs where they didn’t even check my passport before they stamped it.
