You all know
that I love to travel and don’t get me wrong, I’m all for the basic touristy
things… BUT one of my favorite things about traveling is actually being
immersed in the culture.
In my very first
blog post, I mentioned that I have numerous really good friends who live in the
Bahamas… They're the perfect tour guides. Nassau is honestly one of my favorite places
to visit. My friends call me an honorary Bahamian. LOL.
Here’s a
throwback post to my last four trips to the Bahamas.
Summer 2014:
View from the plane// I always pick the window seat when flying to the Bahamas. The views are spectacular! |
A conch snack fried dry from Bamboo Shack// My fave! I have about 3 every time I go! |
View of the pool at Albany Resort |
Eboni and I having a drink at Drifters at Da Fry before a night out |
Crab and dough// Very different from the taste of Maryland crabs! |
Eboni and I in front of the ship dock |
Johnathan and I at Atlantis |
Shanny, Eboni, and I at Fat Tuesday Nassau// Delicious frozen daiquiris |
Sunday dinner at a friend's house// I was SO full afterwards! |
Stuffing my face with guinep// It's a fruit and I can't think of anything else to compare it to. You have to try it for yourself! |
Watching the sunrise at the beach// It's literally right across the street from my friend's house! |
Enjoying a morning walk on the beach |

Another view from the plane |
Summer 2015:
As you can see, I'm a very simple gyal. You don't have to spend a lot of money to have a good time. My favorite things to do are going to the beach, drinking, catching up with friends, and eating good food! What else do you need?
