Euro Trip Part 2: London

Day 6: Monday April 10, 2017 We left for London on an early Sunday morning. The cab driver picked us up outside the apartment around 4:30 a.m. and drove like a bat out of hell through the empty streets of Madrid. After about 10 minutes of this rollercoaster of a cab ride, I took a break from clinching my eyes shut and gripping my seatbelt for dear life and peaked at the speedometer. I lie to you not, this man was driving 165 km/hr. That’s about 102.5 miles per hour. Twas wild! For those of you who knew my Granny, I was absolutely sitting in that backseat praying just like her the entire ride. LOL! Thankfully, we arrived at the airport in one piece and checked into our RyanAir flight. I’ll be writing another post later about all of our cost effective transportation throughout Europe, so stay tuned for that! Euro Trip Part 1: Madrid

Day 1: Wednesday April 5, 2017 My journey to Europe began on an early Wednesday morning. My friend dropped me off at Tampa International Airport around 9:15 am. I took three flights, had two layovers, and traveled for a grand total of about 18 hours. By 8:00 pm EST, it was time to board my six-hour flight to Madrid. The on-flight meals weren’t terrible. First I had Indian-style curry chicken with rice and a glass of chardonnay and for breakfast I had a croissant and yogurt. I slept a majority of the way and boy oh boy was it freezing. I had five layers on and I was STILL cold. Day 2: Thursday April 6, 2017 I landed in Madrid on Thursday morning around 10 am and went through customs where they didn’t even check my passport before they stamped it.
